Please tell me a bit about yourself

I'm a French national, born and raised in France. I studied languages and business at university so I speak French, Spanish and English. When I graduated, I decided to come to the UK, this was before Brexit but even with the outcome of the vote I love it so much that I decided to stay!

Since I arrived to the UK, I have worked for two companies whose target market was international students and business people. These roles offered great opportunities to meet a wide variety of people who were keen to learn English and expected the highest level of service. I really enjoyed these roles as they allowed me to hone my language skills and successfully meet the needs of people who expected the best.

What is your role and what do you do?

Applica works with a lot of French clients and candidates, and this is only set to increase. My role is to recruit candidates and translate all materials for clients and candidates to ensure a seamless experience for everyone who Applica works with. My passions are languages and excellent service, my role at Applica allows me to excel at both.

What do enjoy most about working with Applica?
There is so much opportunity here. It’s a global company so I can use my languages, I have been given ownership of my role so I can be the best I can be, we have amazing clients with very high standards. The roles that we recruit for are very specialised and technical. Applica has a number of projects in the energy transition space which I’m really interested in. I find that as I work internationally, I find it easy to understand the challenges that our candidates who are working in different locations face. I like to help and make things easier for them. I’m learning every day and I’m really enjoying the challenge.

Why did you choose to work with Applica?

I’m really interested in the business development side of the company and how when expanding internationally you need to know not just the laws of that country, but you really need to understand the culture. Applica takes this very seriously and I like being a part of that.

I also like making a difference to people’s lives. It’s important to me, to help our candidates develop their careers so that ultimately everyone benefits from a job well done.

Tell me something not many people know about you
I played the violin for many many years! Maybe we can start an Applica orchestra!
