Please tell me a little bit about yourself:
I studied Macro economics and business at university which I really enjoyed. I was fortunate to hear about Applica through a friend. It seemed like a really good opportunity and when I met with Matt, the MD and he was so positive and there seemed to be so many opportunities I decided to take the role. I’ve been with Applica just under a year and focus on roles in Norway, specifically the Brasse Subsea Tie-back project.
I find the energy industry really interesting as it’s so varied. The Directors at Applica are industry experts and really support the team here with their development.
What is the best part of your job?
I really enjoy researching and understanding the detail of the projects that I’m working on. Having an in-depth knowledge allows me the opportunity to be on a level with candidates and clients.
I also really enjoy making connections with people from so many different countries and cultures.
What is the best advice you can give to candidates?
Honesty is always the best policy. Be transparent and trust your recruiter they have industry knowledge and an extensive client network which offers so many different opportunities.
Finally tell me something not many people know about you
I’m a bit of a nerd with stocks and shares, I’ve had virtual portfolio since I was 16.
