Please tell me a little bit about yourself I have a degree in Business Management from Liverpool John Moores University. Following my graduation I moved into the recruitment industry focusing on recruiting engineers for the Oil & Gas, Chemical & Nuclear sectors.
I began my career as a recruitment consultant and after 3 years was promoted to account management looking after clients.
I’ve been working in this sector for over 16 years.
What is your role with Applica? I'm a lead account manager with Applica, managing clients predominantly in the UK and Europe. I’ll be building relationships with both new and existing clients to make sure that we are delivering the best talent for them.
Why did you choose to work with Applica
It is definitely the people! I was offered another role doing the same job in the same location but after speaking with Matt, Louisa and Darren I just wanted to be part of what is being built through Applica. It's something different, the team really want to do their best and they look out for one another. The company has some amazing clients and is expanding rapidly on a global scale, this is really exciting to me and I want to be a part of it.
It's not just about numbers, they really care about what they're doing and what they are delivering to their clients as well as ensuring that people in their business feel valued. They've got a clear vision and they’re very different from competitors.
What do you really enjoy about your profession? What makes you get up in the morning? I love speaking to people, clients, candidates and colleagues. I enjoy finding people jobs, building relationships with clients and helping people in their careers. In my role I’ll also have the opportunity to work with the recruiters directly to support them, I enjoy seeing people develop.
Tell me something what you enjoy outside of work I love spending time with my family and walking the dog! We watch my little boy play football every week and we go to watch the team he and my husband support – Stoke City, at every home game. Weekends are very sport driven but I love it!
