Please tell me a little bit about yourself

I have six years of sales and recruiting experience. I began my recruiting career in the legal sector before moving into private security and then the oil and gas Sector, where I have worked since 2021. I absolutely love working in the OAG industry. The innovation, collaboration and world changing projects that occur in this industry are so fascinating!

I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, during this time I took the opportunity to study abroad in China.

What is your role and what do you do

I am recruiter based in Applica’s Houston office. I recruit up stream, mid-stream and downstream and I’m used to working with integrated oil and gas companies across all their roles.

What do you believe sets Applica apart for candidates?

I did work for a managed service provider (MSP) and used Applica to source roles. I always found them to be very supportive and hands on with their candidates.

The team is very personable and genuinely care about the candidates which they place. Applica never backs down from a challenge. This team pulls its resources together to meet the unique needs of all their clients.

Why did you choose to work with Applica

I firmly believe in the values which it stands on, CEDAR, contribution, empathy, determination, authenticity and relationships and every member of the team truly follow them. Everyone is very invested, they want to see you grow and as far as you can in your career, I really see myself growing with the company.

What is the best part of your role

I absolutely love meeting and connecting with people, finding out about their lives, their needs, and their career goals. I enjoy advocating for the candidate and getting them the perfect role.

What are the benefits of working in a global company?

Cultures are beautiful and working with Applica I’ll have the opportunity to learn and experience a variety of cultural backgrounds.

What’s the best advice you can give to candidates?

Be yourself and play to your strengths. Know how to communicate what you’re good at effectively and never try and be something you’re not.

Finally tell me something not many people know about you

I’ve climbed the Great Wall of China!
